With more than 30 years of experience in both dispute strategy and litigation and business transactions, Larry provides a full service practice through which he supports clients in their day-to-day business operations and protects them from the threat of litigation. He works with clients to implement policies and procedures to limit exposure to the liability of workplace allegations such as sexual harassment, gender discrimination, wrongful termination and retaliation, and also defends employers from labor code violation claims, including those related to wages, hours, overtime pay, meal and rest breaks, and working conditions. When litigation becomes the best option, Larry works with clients to guide them through what can be a highly complex process to ensure the best possible outcome for their business.
His expertise ranges from representing shareholders, directors, and officers in “corporate divorces” to assisting lenders in documenting secured transactions, enforcing rights in collateral, and collecting damages from borrowers and guarantors. He handles commercial contract negotiations and enforcement and also enforces construction lien rights and pursues remedies against contractors on behalf of consumers. Larry also obtains injunctive relief to protect client trade secrets and proprietary information, and prosecutes damage claims resulting from misappropriation.
Active in the legal community, Larry has served as president of the North San Diego County Bar Association and was named Attorney of the Year by the organization in 2013. He has also served on the San Diego County Bar Association’s board of directors and is a Master and past-president of the Fiorenzo V. Lopardo Chapter of the American Inns of Court.
